What is music therapy?
Music therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed music therapist. Do I need to have previous experience?
No previous experience required or expected! Our therapists will guide you through the interventions, and encourage each client to embrace the process rather than the product of the session. The goal is not to make beautiful music and art (although that may happen too!) but to learn and grow through the process of creating together with your therapist.
What type of payments are accepted?
If applicable we are happy to do an insurance inquiry. If we are unable to bill insurance we accept private pay. Grants may also be available. FSS/FDSS from the county. Check out our Resources page or give us a call for more information regarding your specific needs.
Where are sessions held?
We are able to offer sessions in a variety of locations including our handicap accessible treatment offices in Whitehall, hospitals, homes, public meeting areas, and facilities. Therapist and TAG building availability may affect the location of the session, though we strive to serve our clients in the setting which would most benefit them and their treatment goals.
