Our Services
Creative arts therapies are firmly established and recognized in today's medical world as evidence based, and proven therapeutic approaches that offer a creative outlet to clients. We are pleased to offer a variety of services which can support individuals with varying needs, interests and diagnoses throughout the life span.
Co-treatment
Co-treatment is a therapeutic approach in which clients are receiving treatment from two or more therapeutic disciplines. Co-treatment is recommended as an effective approach for certain individuals or groups, depending on their specific needs and goals.
Lessons
It's never too late to start learning! From actual beginners to those seeking to dust off or expand previous skills, we are here to help you experience the joy of playing an instrument, unleashing your inner songbird, or creating a visual masterpiece. We can provide individual lessons on most instruments, including voice, and we offer instruction on specific art techniques as well.
Presentations
Our therapists and teachers provide training, staff development, team building and educational presentations for schools, agencies, advocacy and parents/caregiver groups. Presentations are available both in-person and virtually, and address a variety of topics relevant to our field of practice. Consultations may be scheduled with the office manager.
Enrichment
Consider having your own fun adventure! Music and art enrichment programs are designed for those interested in the enjoyment of participating in art and/or music making or learning more about a specific art or music topic. You can also contact us with your own ideas for an experience that interests you, for instance: singing group, drum circle, percussion group, chime choir, songwriting workshop, etc.
Virtual Services
In response to the social and travel restrictions with regards to COVID-19, we began offering private virtual music therapy and interactive music enrichment sessions through our online tele-health portal.
These individualized virtual services are very similar to our standard in-person approach, but with the obvious difference of not being in a shared space. We strive to maintain the interactive therapeutic relationship between the therapist and client, meaning that it is ideal for clients/participants to have a working webcam and speakers so that the communication can go both ways.
Due to increased interest int he flexibility that virtual sessions may provide, these services may be offered on a case-by-case basis. Please know that while we make every effort to accommodate the needs of the client and their family, in some cases virtual may not be appropriate and most beneficial for the client.
